ASHLEY ANNE FUNMAKER, “HṶṶC HINṶK”

     Ashley Anne Funmaker, “Hṷṷc Hinṷk,” 31, passed away at her home Friday, June 16, 2023. She was born Jan. 10, 1992, to Max Perry Funmaker Sr. and Eileen Link in La Crosse, WI.

     Ashley went to Black River Falls throughout high school, but finished her last two years and graduated from Eau Claire High School. During that time, she was active in volleyball and softball and spending time with her friends. She enjoyed spending her time outdoors, swimming and with her friends and family. She will be remembered for always being the joker in the family, but beyond that, for how much she deeply cared for people.

     She is survived by her children, Rayvon Walker, Jalil Funmaker and Messiah Williams; significant other Austin Williams; mother Eileen; siblings Earl (Samantha Windsor) Funmaker, Mamie Funmaker and Alissa (Chad Gaertner) Funmaker; aunts and uncles Diane (Rene) Wallace, Duwayne (Anita) Link, James Link, Gary (Patty) Hall and Gwyn Link; along with numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

     Ashley is preceded in death by her dad, Max Sr.; grandparents Norman and Mildred Link and George and Alice Funmaker; and Uncle Jeff Link.

     Visitation for Ashley took place Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at the Buswell Funeral Home at 10 a.m. and following the service, burial took place at the Decorah Cememtery. Shannon Rave officiated.
