Dennis Ray Conant Sr.

Dennis Ray Conant Sr., 73, of Northfield, WI, passed away peacefully at home under the qualified and loving care of Amy Conant and the St. Croix Hospice team on April 21, 2026, surrounded by his wife, Deborah, and sons, Dennis (Sandy) and Daniel (Amy).

Dennis spent nearly 50 years as an over‑the‑road truck driver, safely delivering freight across the country and logging almost six million miles. He loved deep conversation, fishing, motorcycles, hunting and most of all, his family.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 54 years, Deborah; sons Dennis Jr. and Daniel (Amy); grandchildren Brittany, Samantha (Will), Christopher (Amber), Timothy (Kaitlyn), Julia, Katie and Brittany (Derek); and great‑grandchildren Valerie, Adelynn, Hunter, and Lucas (coming soon). 

He is preceded in death by his daughter Dena (Darryl) Adcock; his great‑granddaughter, Kinsley; his parents, Cletus and Doris; his siblings, Allan (Sandy), Bradley (Sandi), Bryne (Randi), and his only sister, Colleen.

In accordance with his wishes, Dennis has been cremated by Evergreen Funeral Home & Crematory in Eau Claire, WI.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 12 p.m. at the Comfort Inn & Suites, Black River Falls, with a eulogy by his son, Daniel Conant. Attendees are encouraged to share memories.
