ALICE KATHERINE (KATHY) DOLESY

     Kathy was born to Doris and Alfred Gass in Streator, IL. Their family moved to Wisconsin in the late 1940s.

     Kathy and Kenneth Dolesy were married in 1955 and blessed with six children.

     Kathy enjoyed traveling with Ken, and often their daughters Sandy and Karen accompanied them. She loved going back to Streator to visit relatives and friends. She was a member of Squaw Creek Lutheran Church.

     She worked hard all her life and was known for her caregiving skills. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and those who knew and loved her.

     Kathy is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Doug) Mason, Sandra Dolesy and Karen (Joel) Johnson; 16 grandchildren and step-grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren; and sister Louise (Sid) Erickson.  

     She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Dolesy, infant daughter Judy, son Michael (Maritess) Dolesy, daughter Brenda (Patrick) Almquist, her parents, Alfred and Doris Gass, and her brothers, Jim and Gene.

     There will be no visitation, at Kathy’s request. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to Jackson County Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers or Squaw Creek Lutheran Church.
