GARRY M. LEE SR.

     GARRY M. LEE SR.

Garry M. Lee Sr., 80, passed away peacefully Friday, April 2024, in his home in Black River Falls.

Garry was born Jan. 30, 1944, in Milwaukee, the eldest son of Grant Milo and Helen Amelia (Gunderson) Lee. He married Myra Baker Oct. 12, 1963, in Winona, MN, and together they had seven children. Garry and Myra later divorced, and Garry married Elaine (Skreipietz) Siefert July 16, 1988, in Ettrick. As both families came together, they made great memories and good times.

Garry was a man of many talents such as a painter, carpenter, plumber, mechanic, farmer and making lawn decor. His loudest hobby he enjoyed was learning to play the fiddle. He truly had the talent for playing musical instruments, such as the guitar, banjo, harmonica, accordian and fiddle. The talent he had for music he taught himself by ear, not reading notes. He was in a musical band, “Punky’s Ticklers,” for many years. Garry played music for house parties, in taverns and local parades. In his retirement years, he would play music for the local nursing home residents.

Garry worked at the Whitehall Packing Plant and Gale Products/TRW. He started out as a laborer, then material handler and worked up to supervision during his employment.

Garry is survived by his wife, Elaine; his children, Joanne (David) Jacobs of Blair, Maureen (Paul) Holte of Trempealeau, Norma Krousey (Kyle Easton) of Trempealeau, Amy Schock (Doug Cooke) of Arcadia, Brian (Sarah) Lee of Stratford and Julie (Kenneth) Pett of Trempealeau; his extended family, David (Susanne) Siefert of Ettrick and Sharon (Rob) Benedict of Melrose; his grandchildren, Michael (Katherine) Maciosek, Jeremy (Leslie) Maciosek, Jessica Scow (John Bjerkaas), Samuel (Raelynn) Holte, Megan Lyngen, Mason Klopp, Kari (Patrick) Tidquist, Bobbi Jo (Alex) Rothenberger, Ryan Lee, Deborah Pett (Cody Parins), Jessalyn (Carson) Lensing, Alexander Pett, Peyton Pett and Alyssa Petta; his extended family, Casey Hovey, Cortney (Brian) Schultz, April (Keegan) Meehan, Anthony Maldonado and Christopher Siefert; 26 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clifford (Sharon) Lee of Holmen and Duane (Pam) Lee of Ettrick; and a sister, Grace (Donald) Bork of Galesville.

In addition to his parents, Garry was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Myra (Baker) Lee; a son, Garry M. Lee Jr.; a granddaughter, Melinda Lee; a great-grandson, Adam Coleman; a stepson, John Siefert; and a step-granddaughter, Sara Mattson.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 1 p.m. in the Jack Funeral Home with burial in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, both in Blair. Chaplain Kris Bjerke/Uliman will officiate.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
