MARK RAMQUIST

     Mark L. Ramquist, 56, of Hixton, WI, and formally of Beloit, WI, passed away Thursday, Aug. 3, 2023, at Gunderson Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, WI. Mark was born Jan. 19, 1967 in Eau Claire, WI, the son of Ronald and Barbara Ramquist. Mark went to Beloit Schools. He was previously employed by Nick’s Welding in Hixton. Mark also did heating and cooling. Mark enjoyed fishing, boating and camping, and being “barefoot.”  

     He is survived by his son, Ajay Ramquist; grandson Julius; mother Barbara; sister Rondi (Steve) Mengelt; fiancée Randy Mack and her children; niece Jamii (Matt) Woodruff; nephew Matthew (Stephanie) Podschweit; niece Ashley Podschweit; and two great-nieces, three great-nephews; and one great-great niece. He is further survived by Aunt Karen Smiley and Uncle Rick Brown, many cousins and friends, and his dog “Molly.” 

     He is predeceased by his son, Matthew Silvis Ramquist; adopted son Cody Burtis; father Ronald Ramquist; grandparents, aunts and uncle and cousin. Steven Brown. 

     A celebration of life will be held Sept. 9, 2023, at the Beloit Horseshoe Club at 640 W. Ravine Drive (next to the Hog Cabin) in Beloit, WI. from 12 to 4 p.m.
