Richard “Dick” Allen Patterson, 84, of the town of North Bend, WI, passed away Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022.

     Richard was born Sept. 16, 1938, in the town of North Bend to Ralph and Eda (Ristow) Patterson. After graduating from Melrose High School in 1956, he enlisted in the Army and was honorably discharged in 1962.

     Early in his working career, he briefly hauled fuel and worked for Mengle Construction. He then worked for Mathy Construction until his retirement in 1999.

     He enjoyed driving the countryside, and there were few (if any) roads or highways he wasn’t familiar with, visiting with family and friends and playing cards.

     Richard married Phyllis (Storandt) Eckart Dec. 21, 1968, at the Little Brown Church in Waukon, IA.  

     He is survived by their three children, Todd (Wendy) Eckart, Troy (Carmaine) Patterson and Tony (Connie) Patterson; seven grandchildren, Ian Eckart, Marina Eckart, Cole Patterson, Ashley Tessmer, Tyler (Sheila) Radcliffe, Aaron Radcliffe and Trissa Patterson; and two great-grandchildren, Lennon Tessmer and Owen Schams.     He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Eda; a brother, Merlin; a sister, Macie Huber Marshall; and his wife, Phyllis.

     Services will be Friday, Oct. 21, 2022, at 11 a.m. at North Bend Presbyterian Church with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, North Bend, followed by a luncheon at the church fellowship hall.

     Zwickey Funeral Homes, Galesville Chapel assisted the family.
