ROBERT JAMES ANDERSON

ROBERT JAMES ANDERSON

Robert James Anderson, known to his family and friends as “Bobby,” passed away in his home Thursday, April 23, 2026.

Born March 11, 1970, in Vancouver, WA, the youngest of two sons born to Audrey and Myron Anderson, Bobby was a 1989 graduate of Melrose-Mindoro High School.  He furthered his education, earning his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice at Winona State University.  From there, he spent 22 years working as a blade precision finisher at North American Products in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.  He moved to Black River Falls in October of 2020.

Bobby loved to research his family history and heritage and had a fascination with Irish and Scottish cultures. Though never married, he was a loving son, brother and uncle.

He is survived by his brother, Russell (Kathleen) Anderson; his two nephews, Jared Anderson and Michael Mattioli; and his half-sisters, Kathy (Alan) Sampson and Jackie Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Audrey Anderson-Hyers and Myron James Anderson.

Those who knew him well will always remember his bubbling personality and how he would say things that would just make you laugh.  He was a gentle soul who lived his life simply and one day at a time. We will miss you, Bobby; thanks for all the memories.

A celebration of life will be Saturday, May 9, 2026, beginning at 2 p.m. at the Old School event center in Melrose, WI.

Burial will be at a later date in South Beaver Creek Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Ettrick, WI.

Zwickey Funeral Homes, Melrose Chapel assisted the family.
