ROGER PAAR

     On Thursday, May 25, 2023, our father, Roger A. Paar, passed away into God’s graces after battling health complications. A warrior throughout life as he served in the Vietnam war, he was a lover of the outdoors with many years of hunting and fishing, he loved shooting trap and was an adamant Wisconsin sports fan. He worked for the City of Black River falls at the power plant for 37 years and married Sandra Arnold Aug. 25, 1973, and were married for 22 years. 

     He is survived by many loving individuals, including his close friends, Mary Stordalen of Black River Falls and Pat Schnur of Hatfield; his two children, Genell (Todd) Johnson of Bangor and Corey Paar of La Crosse; his sisters, Doris Boe of Taylor, Judy (Robert) Amundson of Eau Claire and Julie Paar; his brothers, Larry (Joan) Paar of Milwaukee, David Paar of Port Edwards and Joe (Sue) Paar of La Crosse; his grandchildren, Trystan Weister of Black River Falls, Kori (Austin) Underwood of Melbourne, AR, and Kaylee Johnson of Bangor, along with many nieces and nephews. 

     He was predeceased by his parents, Jerdy and Minnie Paar; his brother, Jerry Paar; and his sisters, Donna Hagen and Lois Paar. 

     There will be a celebration of life June 10, 2023, at the American Legion Post 200 in Black River Falls from 2 to 6 p.m. with Taps and a gun salute at 3 p.m. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
