SCOTT WRIGHT

     Scott Allen Wright of Black River Falls, forever 53, lived life and left life his way. Born May 4,1969, in Beloit, Wisconsin to Jim and Julie Wright, the youngest of three children, he was always the person others wanted to be around.

     With his infectious smile, Scott made the world seem brighter. Whether he just met you or you were a lifelong friend, he’d make you feel like you were the most important person around. Although he dealt with his own demons, when you were down, he could have you feeling everything was right in the world and would be getting even better.

     Scott was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed besting everyone at paint ball. As a profession and a hobby, Scott was often building something with his hands, which included working on his motorcycles. He was a best friend to many.

     Scott died Sept. 8, 2022, and is survived by his mother, Julie Wright of Beloit; brother Jimmy Wright (Laurel) of Jacksonville, FL; sister Lisa Wright of Janesville; and his son Vaughn Hogsdon (Ashley) of Wahiawa, HI.

     Scott was a consistent father figure to his nieces and nephew, Laura Hill (Aaron) of Beloit, Selena Wright of Beloit and Isaiah Wright of Janesville, all who miss him terribly. He’s also survived by nephew Colt Wright of Salt Lake City, UT, plus numerous aunts, uncles and a large extended family and friends.

     Scott was a generous spirit who was always there to help someone in need, and this has extended beyond his life.

     When his beloved father, Jim Wright, was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2015, Scott immediately signed up with the DMV to be an organ, tissue and eye donor. Not only will the donation of tissue (not just organs) save lives, Scott’s generous gift will help up to 200 people over five years. It’s just another example of how Scott was always wanting to help people and improve their lives, even if he’s now gone. We’re sure Scott would encourage everyone to sign up now to be a donor of not just organs, but more importantly tissue and eyes especially because it doesn’t impact the type of funeral you may want to have.      Because Scott impacted so many lives in different areas, a number of “Celebration of Life” events will be planned where everyone can come, hang out, just be together and remember the happy times with Scott which is exactly what he would want.
