TAMMY KAY KOBINSKI
Tammy Kay Kobinski, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many, passed away Jan. 26, 2024, in Black River Falls, WI, at the age of 63.
She was born April 11, 1960, to Susan Calkins in Whitehall, WI, where she grew up with her siblings Randy, Maryanne, Linda and Welden.
After graduating from Black River Falls High School, Tammy continued her education at Western Technical College in La Crosse, where she received an associate’s degree in 1989. She then embarked on a successful career in the gaming industry in Las Vegas, Lincoln City, OR, and Black River Falls, WI, where she retired.
Tammy was a loving and active woman who lived life to the fullest. She was known for her adventurous spirit and her warm-hearted nature. Her family could spend hours sharing stories about the hijinks Tammy would get up to, often roping in her siblings. Tammy had a passion for gardening and possessed a green thumb, nurturing plants to flourish under her care. In addition, she enjoyed working on various craft projects, with ceramics being her favorite.
Tammy will be deeply missed by her loving children, Chris, Faith and Shannon; her partner, Michael German; her grandchildren, Sade, Shyann, Shawn and Storm; and her great-grandson, Johnny. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Jonathan, Jacob, Jameson, Angela, Johlissa, Garrett and Tyler.
Tammy was preceded in death by her mother, Susan, as well as her brother Randy, and sister Maryanne.
A celebration of Tammy’s life will be held at Buswell Funeral Home in Black River Falls, WI, Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024, from 5 to 8 p.m. Please join the family in honoring and remembering Tammy Kay Kobinski, a remarkable individual who brought love and joy to those around her.
