TARA LYNNE MERCER

     Tara Lynne Mercer, 52, passed away Dec. 20, 2023 at Gundersen Medical Center in La Crosse.

     Tara was born in Black River Falls May 11, 1971, to Carol (Mercer) Barnes and Howard T. Mercer. She attended Black River Falls area schools and graduated in 1991. Tara briefly lived in Pana, IL, before returning to Black River Falls in 1996. Tara was an organ donor

     Tara is survived by her sisters Sandi West of Morrisville, NC, Cindy Foster of Black River Falls and Lisa Gerke of La Crosse. Tara is also survived by four nieces, two nephews, four great-nephews, four great-nieces and a very special “sister” Patti Holcomb.

     Tara was preceded in death by her father, Howard Mercer; her mother, Carol (Mercer) Barnes; both of her paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents and her brother-in-law, Loren Foster.
