TIM D. YESKIE
Tim D. Yeskie, 69, of Hixton, passed away May 3, 2026, surrounded by his family and close friends.
He was born Oct. 25, 1956 to Robert “Bob” Yeskie and Virginia (Hegge) Yeskie. Tim grew up in rural Hixton his whole life.
Tim worked briefly at Wisconsin Dairies, Norplex and Federation Co-op before returning to the home farm to help his father on the farm.
Tim served on the Federation Co-op board and Town of Curran Board.
In June of 1977, Tim married the love of his life, Karen Kling. Together they raised four children: Allison, Michael, Bryan and Eric.
Tim was a man with many names. First known as “Tucker” in his high school years, then “Bruce” lovingly by his sister and “Timmy.” If you called him “Timothy” he thought he was in trouble with you.
He looked forward to his time with his friends at coffee every morning. He often said he was going to coffee to get an education. He often did a lot of “scheming” with his buddies on the next prank to be played on someone. If you were lucky you’d be the recipient of one of his pranks.
Family was important to him. He would always try to make it to his grandkids’ school and sporting events to cheer them on. And if he was not able to make it, they had to tell him all about it as if he were there. Tim also enjoyed teaching his kids and grandkids about the farm. Even if you knew how to grease the equipment, he made sure to tell you how to do it again the right way.
Tim enjoyed hunting, whether it was him on his own or sitting with one of the grandkids. He also enjoyed trips out west, farming and watching the grandkids work on fair projects.
Tim is survived by his wife of almost 49 years, Karen; daughter Allison (Luke) Gerke; sons Michael Yeskie, Bryan Yeskie, Eric (Gabrielle) Yeskie; grandchildren Brooklyn, Preston, Nora, Behati, Blakely, Reese, Tayte, Arrayah, Kimber, Evalon, Prue and Waverly; sister, Christine Yeskie-Dixon; mother-in-law Edith Kling; and many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert; mother Virginia; daughter Kimberly; grandson Delaine; brothers Greg and Denny; brothers-in-law Waide Dixon, Jeff Kling; and father-in-law Bob Kling.
It was Tim’s wish to be cremated. A Celebration of Life is planned for Friday, May 22, at the Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a service at 1 p.m. A luncheon will be held following the service at the Hixton American Legion post. For the Celebration of Life, Tim would want you to dress like you were coming to coffee with him and also wear your favorite ball cap.
