TROY ANTHONY STUMBLINGBEAR “HṶṶWĄ COONĮ”

     Troy Anthony Stumblingbear “Hṷṷwą Coonį”, 30, of Black River Falls, WI, passed away Dec. 6, 2023. He was born Aug. 23, 1993, in Chicago, IL, the son of Chavo Stumblingbear and Fawn Smith.

     Troy graduated from Black River Falls High School in 2011. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and playing video games. He was always watching sporting events and was a die-hard Chicago sports fan. He had a way with words and used them when composing his music.

     Troy is survived by his father, Chavo Stumblingbear; his mom, Fawn Smith; children, Talaya, Malcolm and Luna; sister Calista Stumblingbear (Damek Walker); grandma Eunice Winneshiek; uncle Robert Smith; and numerous other extended family and relatives.

     He is preceded in death by his brother, Aaron Stumblingbear, uncle Tyler Decorah and other loved ones.

     Traditional Native American Services were held at 12 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, 2023, at the Dells Dam Community Center (W7015 Busch Road, Dells Dam, WI). Clayton Winneshiek officiated. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial followed at Dells Dam Family Cemetery in Neillsville, WI.
