VIVIAN SIMONS

     Vivian V. Simons, “FeFe”, 85, of Black River Falls, died Oct. 6, 2022, in the care of the Black River Falls Memorial Hospital Respite care.

     She was born to James and Blanch (Brauner) Melichar June 16, 1937, at the Black River Falls Memorial Hospital and graduated from the Black River Falls High School.

     Her life was filled with love for her nieces and nephews, and if she wasn’t with them she was babysitting someone else’s.

     After a chance meet with a taxi driver, Vivian found her soul mate and married Virgil (Spike) H. Simons Sept. 30, 1967. They remained together in life until his passing in 1995.

     She enjoyed taking care of her home and many others up until retiring recently. Vivian was a 68-year Bohemian Hall member. She loved that hall and the memories that it held. She was very proud of her Czech roots.

     Vivian is survived by sister-in-law Sharon Melichar, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

     She was preceded in death by her husband, Spike; parents; her brother, James Melichar; and sisters Marie Melichar, Laura (Tom) Jones and Alice (Robert) Rochester.

     Funeral services for Vivian will be held Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, at 11 a.m. at the Trout Run United Methodist Church, N4292 County Road X, Black River Falls, WI, with Pastor John Paul officiating. Burial will take place at the Riverside Cemetery of Black River Falls. Friends are welcome to call on the family during a visitation Friday, Oct. 21, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Torgerson Funeral Home, 408 N Water St, Black River Falls, as well as on Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. 

     The Torgerson Funeral Home of Black River falls is serving the family.
